Patrick Morris
I’m Patrick Morris – a writer, accessibility specialist, and quiet observer of systems that often forget the people inside them.
For over 25 years, I’ve worked in the Australian public service, specialising in assistive technology. I’ve supported hundreds of people using tools like Dragon speech recognition, screen readers, and literacy support software – not just by training them, but by advocating for their dignity in environments that often don’t listen.
My writing explores the margins: where policy meets pain, where silence carries weight, and where stories remind us what matters. I write dispatches – sometimes literal, sometimes allegorical – about bureaucracy, inclusion, and the strange poetry of being seen.
I’m interested in truth, and in empathy as a form of resistance. I don’t speak loudly, but I speak clearly.
If you’re here, thank you for listening.

🟦 Speak No Evil
Not all restraint is wisdom. Sometimes, it is survival.
What I Offer
I provide thoughtful support in assistive technology, especially Dragon speech recognition, informed by over two decades of experience in the public service. Whether it’s one-on-one training, systems review, or simply translating tech into something human, I meet people where they are – quietly, practically, and without judgement.
Currently exploring future opportunities for collaboration, consulting, or advocacy.
